Instead of a spring opening as initially planned, Topgolf will open in Wichita by the end of this year.

“While our construction timelines are still being finalized, we are happy to inform you that we plan to be live in the Wichita community by the end of 2022,” said an e-mail from Spencer Stewart on behalf of Dallas-based Topgolf Entertainment Group.

The entertainment center is opening at 2976 N. Greenwich, which is just south of 29th and Greenwich.

Topgolf will have a double-deck 52-bay golf range with monitors to analyze shots, a 9-hole mini golf course, event spaces and a bar and restaurant among other things.

It will be part of an almost $26 million 22-acre development with a hotel, retail and offices.

Last year, the Wichita City Council approved a $10.2 million public subsidy package for the development, which received criticism from various people in the community.

Anyone interested in working at Topgolf can apply on the career page at Topgolf.com.
