Need your driveway shoveled today? There’s a new business that can help with that.

GreenPal is a Nashville, Tenn.-based business that now has 40 vendors who can offer snow removal and landscaping for customers in a 30-mile radius of Wichita.

“Basically, it’s like the Uber for lawn care,” said Gene Caballero, who founded the business with two partners in 2015.

Caballero said he’s been in lawn care for his entire life and saw a lot of inefficiencies in how landscapers and their clients got connected.

“I knew there had to be a better way.”

He said consumers want on-demand service for snow removal and landscaping.

“We just facilitate transactions, connect the parties and make it a lot easier for them to conduct business.”

Customers can download the app or go to the company’s website at www.yourgreenpal.com/local/lawn-care-wichita-ks. They enter the address of what properties they want serviced, and that alerts area vendors to bid on the jobs. Vendors use information from potential customers as well as Google street and aerial views to bid on the jobs. Customers can see vendor rates and select who they want.

So far, GreenPal is in 250 markets. Caballero said the Wichita market is fully operational.

“We are good to go.”
