The former Credit Union of America headquarters at 650 S. Westdale near Kellogg and I-235 has sold.

At this time last year, the Credit Union announced it had purchased the former IMA Financial Group building at 8200 E. 32nd St. North, near K-96 and Rock Road. At 55,000 square feet, that space is significantly larger than the 25,000-square-foot Westdale building.

Businessman Al Wakil said he bought the Westdale building “just for investment purposes.”

He’s now looking to lease the space.

“It could be divided many ways, from probably 10 to 20 tenants or less,” Wakil said. “It depends how the person wants to divide it. . . . There’s lots of options in there.”

He said leases will be between $8 and $11.50 a square foot, with all bills paid.

“One check pays for the whole month,” Wakil said. “It’s a beautiful building inside, and it’s very secure.”

Chris Abdayem, Dan Unruh and Carl Hebert of InSite Real Estate Group handled the sale. Abdayem also will handle leasing at the building.
