At least one of two Wichita Tuesday Morning stores to close

It was a short run for the Tuesday Morning store at 2350 N. Maize Road.

In 2017, Have You Heard? reported a store would be opening there, which is a couple of blocks north of the northeast corner of 21st and Maize Road.

We also noted that Tuesday Morning is a retailer that seems to play musical sites a little more than others, at least in Wichita. This store opened in place of the one at 600 S. Tyler near Kellogg.

However, this time, the store is closing — not moving.

The Dallas-based company filed bankruptcy last month and is closing hundreds of stores nationally.

“The Company expects to close approximately 230 of its 687 stores in total,” a spokeswoman said via e-mail. “It will be a phased process over the summer – the first group includes 133 locations, which is this list. The remaining locations have not yet been identified.”

It appears the Tuesday Morning at Regency Lakes at 21st and Greenwich will remain open, at least for now.

At the one on Maize Road, there’s a going-out-of business sale. It’s not clear what the last day of business will be.
