Residential and commercial developer Bill Lusk is working on one of the last subdivisions he has left to develop at the Oaks in Derby at 63rd and Rock Road.

Lookout Pointe will have 47 lots, 34 of which are on the golf course.

Unlike a lot of subdivisions, where developers insist that buyers build immediately, future residents won’t have to here.

“What we’re doing is trying to help people ease into the decision,” says Scott Shanks, Lusk’s sales manager for residential communities.

“I think we learned a lot from the recession.”

Shanks says there’s one other small phase left to develop at the Oaks.

“We’re definitely getting toward the end of the development with this.”
