Why has the property at First and Rutan been cleared?
The Uptown Landing group is preparing for its second phase of growth, but when that growth will happen is in question.
The group has cleared property around First and Rutan in preparation for eventual development. That likely is going to mean more apartments and more commercial space.
Everything is on hold for now, though, due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Part of the impetus for clearing the property is that people were dumping trash on it. By cleaning it up, the group hopes it will now stay clean.
