The Wichita version of a popular Kansas City restaurant is closing
A decade after opening Hereford House at the Terradyne County Club in Andover, Mike Issa is closing it.
It’s a decision Issa said he made in early February before the severity of the COVID-19 outbreak became clear.
“I decided not to renew my lease,” he said. “I just want to keep all my attention and focus on the Scotch & Sirloin.”
Terradyne co-owner Rob Patton said he’ll miss Hereford House. He’s looking for another restaurant for the space. He said he wants to continue to make it open to the public.
Issa, who had a license to operate Hereford House from the popular one in Kansas City, said he is moving his management team and most of his staff to the Scotch.
“It’s growing more than we expected.”
He said he is still honoring all wedding commitments he has at Terradyne “as agreed upon” with the same menus and management team.
Diners can use any gift cards they still have from the Terradyne Hereford House at the Scotch.
Issa says he plans to keep all of his corporate catering accounts that the Hereford House previously handled.
“We will continue to service them from the Scotch and Sirloin.”
Issa said he had a great relationship with the Terradyne owners and members.
“It’s been a great journey with both of them. My goal has just shifted.”
