Parklane Shopping Center has two new leases

On the heels of Hamilton Relay announcing at least 75 jobs in a new Wichita office at Parklane Office Park, there are a couple of more new leases at the Parklane Shopping Center, which also is at Lincoln and Oliver.

Tom Sun is opening Foot Relax in 1,400 square feet in the next couple of weeks to offer accupressure. Though it sounds like it will be foot treatment only, Sun actually will offer full-body accupressure, which is without the use of accupuncture needles.

“When you’re just using the pressure with your hands, it’s call accupressure,” says Nancy Shih of Re/Max Realty Centre, who handled the deal.

Shih says Sun has been a longtime manager of a massage place at Towne East Square.

“He decided to open on his own,” she says.

The business is ready to go as soon as its sign is up.

Shih also handled a new lease at Grace Market, an Asian market that’s been at the center for several years.

Timothy Hsu is taking over the business, which is in 2,100 square feet.

Hsu will be adding a small restaurant area, which the business had at one time but hasn’t had recently.

“It’ll be like a food court area,” he says.

First, though, Hsu says, “We need to fully remodel the kitchen.”

He expects it to be ready in about three weeks.
