U-Haul to open another store and storage facility, this time on the west side

U-Haul has plans for another store and storage facility, this time on the west side. Unlike the one-time Bemis Bag building the company transformed on East 13th Street just a few blocks west of the Canal Route, it will build a new building this time in the 600-block of North Holland.

U-Haul is opening another store and storage facility in the 600-block of South Holland, which is just west of Kellogg and Ridge Road.

“It’s a ways away,” says Aaron Krueger, president of U-Haul Company of Southern Kansas.

Unlike when the company transformed the former Bemis Bag building on East Central near the Canal Route for another store and storage facility, this time it’s constructing a new building.

This will make the fourth corporate-owned U-Haul facility in Wichita. It will rent trucks, trailers, hitches and moving supplies along with offering self storage.

There also are more than a couple dozen dealer-owned U-Haul stores in the area.
