New Nifty Nut House finally, and for real this time, has an opening date

Lord almighty, stop the presses.

At long — very long — last, Steve Jahn is days away from opening his Nifty Nut House in its new space.

That happens to be next to his existing store at Elm and St. Francis.

The promised move has been in the works since 2016, which is when Jahn first thought the new space would open before that Christmas.

Then he thought he’d be open for last Christmas, though that was even behind schedule.

“You know me, last-minute Charlie here,” Jahn says.

“I figured out my problem,” he says. “It was moving in before Christmas.”

Which is why he’s now moving in before Thanksgiving instead.

Nifty Nut will be open in its current space through Saturday and then reopen in its new space on Monday.
