Tim and JoAnn Pitzer’s dream of running a bed-and-breakfast is coming to a short, abrupt end.

About a year ago, the two opened Noble House Inn at 1230 N. Waco.

“It’s been our dream since shortly after we were married,” Tim Pitzer said then. “We loved visiting bed-and-breakfasts.”

Now, due to Tim Pitzer’s job situation, the two are trying to sell the 1888 3,334-square-foot home, either as a business or a residence.

“It would make a great family home,” Tim Pitzer says.

However, he adds, “We would love for someone to keep it as a bed-and-breakfast. I think Wichita needs one.”

He says it’s a highly-rated, successful inn.

Due to financial reasons, Pitzer lost his job as pastor of worship and music at First Church of the Nazarene.

He’s now taking a job at a church in his native Nashville, Tenn.

“It’s definitely bittersweet,” Pitzer says. “Sweet that I get to go home.”

The Pitzers are trying to sell Noble House on their own for $289,000.

The 5-bedrom house has four and a half baths, four living areas, including three parlors on the main floor, and a newly renovated kitchen.

“We tried to find a way to stay here and keep it as a bed-and-breakfast,” Tim Pitzer says.

“We’re like, OK, I guess we got to experience our dream for a little bit.”
