People passing by the former Breakfast Club space at 1002 S. Seneca recently started noticing it looked like someone was once again going to reopen the restaurant.
“Check this out: I am open now,” says Reggie Golden, who reopened the business with his wife, Sunnie, on Saturday.
Golden says he’s “worked in quite a few restaurants and managed quite a few restaurants in the past,” and it’s time to have his own after “how much work we’ve put in.”
“We just said this would be a good time to open up a restaurant, especially this one right here,” Golden says.
He says the location just off of Kellogg is ideal.
The restaurant will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On Sunday and Tuesday, it will be open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Golden says he’ll serve breakfast all day along with lunch and dinner items.
“The menu is somewhat close to the same,” he says of what the Breakfast Club served in the past.
“I really don’t know too much about what the previous owners had done here, and I’m not too much concerned about it.”
