Lonnie Larson is listening to his Hearing HealthCare Associates customers and reopening a west-side office.

“We’ve just known we’ve needed to do it,” he says.

Larson has worked for the business since 2000 and bought its downtown site from previous owner Ray Rice in 2010.

Rice used to have a west-side office.

“It’s been our plan from the beginning to reopen a west office to make a more convenient location,” Larson says.

The new site will be at 7230 W. 13th St. just west of 13th and Ridge Road.

“One of the most important things that was really on our checklist is that it was easy to get in and out of,” Larson says.

He says he also likes that it’s near I-235.

Austin Swisher of J.P. Weigand & Sons handled the deal.

Hearing HealthCare offers hearing tests, hearing aids and options for hearing comfort for people such as hunters and musicians.

Larson has been operating the Hearing HealthCare site at First and Broadway downtown across from the Orpheum.

The business has been at that intersection in three different spots since 1948.

The new office will open the second week of November.

Eventually, Larson would like an east-side office, too.

Larson says he can’t say when that may happen except “that’s the future goal.”
