For years, Lucinda’s owners Valerie and Ryan Reimers have been planning to start online sales.
“We always say, ‘Next year,’” Valerie Reimers says.
Finally, this is the year.
“It’s been on our to-do list for over a decade,” she says. “People have been requesting it forever.”

The store, which is to the west of the Warren Theatre in Old Town, is filled with hundreds of pieces of jewelry, accessories, decor, gifts and clothing.
“It’s just so daunting of a task to figure out the logistics and everything,” Reimers says of getting it all on www.lucindasoldtown.com.
Initially, the site will offer jewelry, accessories and decor but no clothing.
“We’ll see what the demand is,” Reimers says.
She’s having a soft launch of the site right now.
“We’re going to do it like we did our store location where we start small and then grow.”
Reimers says a lot of customers who live out of town will now be able to shop at the store without having to come to Wichita.
She says she likes that locals also can now have the convenience of shopping local with her online, though they can still pick up orders in the store to avoid shipping.
“Sometimes you just want to sit on your couch at midnight and shop.”
