Mobile Addiction, an authorized Boost Mobile dealer, is opening a new headquarters in Old Town next month.

The business currently is on the west side but is moving into 918 E. Douglas downtown just down from Larkspur Bistro.

Boost Mobile is the prepaid brand of Sprint.

“We now have 58 Boost Mobile stores throughout the country,” Mobile Addiction owner Russ Thomas says.

He started the business here but now lives in Ohio. Thomas says his corporate staff of 10 is still here.

“My staff is exceptional for what they do.”

Mobile Addiction used to have stores in Kansas but now is in only Texas, Colorado, New Mexico and Oregon.

“We do hope to get back to Kansas some day,” Thomas says.

He says that could possibly happen in 2019.

In addition to liking the East Douglas space for its brick and older charms, Thomas says it’s a great centralized site with lots of restaurants for employees to enjoy and that are easy to take clients to.

“It’s just a great area.”

Jake Ramstack of InSite Real Estate Group handled the deal.

Thomas says he like to have about 80 stores open by the end of this year.

“That will make us the second-largest in the country.”

The company is already likely leading in a another area, he says.

“We’re probably the fastest-growing Boost Mobile dealer in the country right now.”
