Kwik Shop’s newest store is going to be across from Wichita State University at the northeast corner of 21st and Oliver.
Construction will begin in May on a 5,200-square-foot store that should open later this year.
“It’ll be a very convenient location for the local residents there as well as the students and the university,” says Clay Brasher, director of real estate.
There will be eight fuel pumps that can serve gasoline and diesel fuel for 16 vehicles at a time.
The store will have fountain and frozen drinks, coffee and cappuccino with a condiment bar, grocery items and grab-and-go food, such as pizza.
At an adjacent property, Kwik Shop – a sister division of Dillons – will use a 1,900-square-foot building as a regional office and training facility.
Brasher says the Kwik Shop has been leasing an office on Rock Road.
“This gave us the ability to own our own building.”
The new Kwik Shop will make 22 in the greater Wichita area, and Brasher says there are more to come.
“We still feel like there’s plenty of opportunity for more locations.”
