Kalene Smith’s new Tousled, a blow-dry bar, is now open at Waterfront Plaza at 13th and Webb Road.

Smith, formerly a partner in GoTime Training, says she became interested in opening the business after hearing a podcast that discussed the success of the national Drybar franchise and how it has grown to more than 70 sites in a decade and is a $100 million company.
