Sometimes instead of offering makeovers, plastic surgery offices need ones of their own.
James Rieger is moving his Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery from Cypress Medical Park to Occidental Management’s Offices at Cranbrook near 21st and Webb Road. He’ll be the first tenant in the development’s fourth building, which is under construction at 10111 E. 21st St.
Rieger says with the updated office, he’s going for something of a makeover.
“I guess as a plastic surgeon you’d say a facelift.”
Rieger will take 1,680 square feet in the building, which will be just over 10,000 square feet total. The shell of the building is finished and the roof is on.
“It’s going to be the new place in town,” Rieger says. “You can’t get a better location, I think.”
Rieger specializes in cosmetic surgery and medical aesthetics. That includes breast augmentation and reduction, tummy tucks, facelifts, liposuction, rhinoplasty and eyelid surgery among other things. In the medical aesthetic realm, he offers laser hair removal, Botox, chemical peels and more.
The new office will be about the same size as his current one, but Rieger says in his existing floor plan there’s a lot of unused space.
“So it was a good chance to kind of remodel and replan a new floor plan into something that we’ve always dreamed of.”
Rieger says that he likes that Occidental CEO Gary Oborny, who handled the deal, personally visited with him and his wife to plan the office. He adds that Occidental’s Justin Strelow, who is director of construction and project management, offered a lot of advice as well along with TK Custom Homes and Hentzen Contractors. Spangenberg Phillips Tice Architecture is the architect.
Four employees will join Rieger at the new office when he moves in April.
He says it’s a small, efficient practice.
Rieger says he plans to have all new furnishings in the new space.
“The office is going to be completely updated.”
