Nominations for next Leadership Wichita class are now open

Nominations for the 2014 Leadership Wichita class are being accepted by the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce.

This is the 32nd year for the training program, according to a news release from the chamber. The program is designed to "inform, inspire, and involve" current and emerging leaders, helping them to take on new roles in the community.

Interested individuals must be nominated by another person and then submit an application. The 30 participants selected will attend eight, one-day sessions from September through November. Sessions focus on developing leadership skills and understanding community issues.

Nominations must be received by June 20, and applications will be due by July 2. More information and the nomination form can be found at www.wichitachamber.org. From the home page, click on community advancement and then "Leadership Programs."
