Three Wichita-based institutions and two more that have a presence in the city are among the healthiest banks and credit unions in the U.S., according to rankings by website DepositAccounts.

In its list of the top 200 healthiest banks for 2016, the site listed Fidelity Bank at No. 153 while Junction City-based Central National Bank (No. 44) and Arkansas City-based Union State Bank (No. 129) also appeared. Central National and Union State both have branches in Wichita.

Both Wichita Federal Credit Union (No. 69) and Skyward Credit Union (No. 53) were included among DepositAccounts’ list of the 200 healthiest credit unions for 2016. Both credit unions are based in Wichita.

Each year, the site evaluates the financial health of the more than 12,000 federally-insured banks and credit unions in the U.S., according to DepositAccounts. Each institution is graded on factors like capitalization, deposit growth and loan-to-reserve ratio in order to determine a comprehensive health score.

Here’s a complete list of all 400 ranked institutions.
