Wichita-based Credit Union of America to open Salina branch next week

Credit Union of America will open a new branch in Salina next week, according to a news release.

The Wichita-based credit union said in the release that it will open a location at 1919 S. Ohio in Salina on Monday. Ken Nowlin will serve as the location’s branch manager, according to the release.

“We have an existing membership base in the area,” said Nowlin in the release. “We’re exciting to bring CUA’s value-oriented services to these members and the entire Salina community.”

With the addition of the Salina branch, the credit union will have 13 locations in five cities in Kansas. Established in 1935 as a teacher’s credit union, the institution has 59,000 members, according to its website.

As of March 31, Credit Union of America had $681 million in assets.
