Sunflower Bank announced Wednesday that it has raised over $7,400 for schools in Wichita, according to a news release.

As part of its “ABC” campaign, the bank said it raised a total of more than $100,000 for schools in Kansas, Colorado and Missouri.

From Jan. 1 through March 31, bank customers raised money for their school of choice by opening a checking account or swiping their debit card, according to the release.

The bank raised a total $102,500 during this year’s campaign. The program began in 2001 and has generated over $1 million since its inception, the release said. Sunflower is a community bank with $1.7 billion in assets, based in Salina.
