UMB taps Perkins for agribusiness division position

UMB Bank has a new vice president for its agribusiness division, according to a news release.

Rick Perkins will serve as vice president and commercial loan officer for the division, which is based in Wichita. Perkins, who will be responsible for UMB’s agribusiness portfolio in eastern Kansas, western Missouri and northeast Oklahoma, comes to the bank from Rabo AgriFinance, according to the release.

Perkins has also worked in the past for Bank of America and Emprise Bank.

“Agribusiness has been a focus for UMB throughout our history,” said Bill Watson, president of UMB Bank’s agribusiness division, in the release. “As we continue to grow our portfolio, it is vital that we have associates like Rick on our team who have the experience and knowledge to help our clients succeed.”

Perkins holds a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Wichita State University. Kansas City-based UMB Bank has more than 100 branches in eight states, including two branches in Wichita.
