School-benefiting Sunflower Bank program expected to top $1 million in total donations
A Sunflower Bank program benefiting schools in the region is expected to exceed the $1 million mark in total donations since its inception in 2001, according to a news release.
The bank’s “ABC Program” raised nearly $114,000 last year for about 300 schools in Kansas, Missouri and Colorado, according to the release. Since the program began 15 years ago, it has raised $934,000, the bank said.
The program runs from now through March 31 with bank customers able to contribute by opening a new checking account ($50) or by using their Sunflower-issued debit card when the “credit” button is used (five cents per swipe).
For more information about the program and how to participate, Sunflower Bank customers are encouraged to inquire at their local branch or visit SunflowerBank.com. With $1.7 billion in assets, Sunflower Bank is based in Salina with other locations throughout Kansas, Colorado, and Missouri.
