Rose Hill Bank parent to merge two subsidiaries

American State Bancshares announced that it intends to merge subsidiaries Peoples Exchange Bank of Belleville into American State Bank & Trust of Great Bend in the second quarter.

The company said its customers will gain from the much larger capital base, expanded lending limit and product offering, as well as additional opportunities for employees.

The company also owns Rose Hill Bank with seven locations in the Wichita area and Salina.
