Emprise Bank employees raise $1,500 for Kansas Food Bank
Emprise Bank employees recently donated $1,500 to the Kansas Food Bank as part of a weight loss challenge, according to a news release.
Emprise employees from around the state donated $5 each to join the challenge with Emprise adding $1 for each pound lost. At the end of an eight-week period, participants had collectively lost 600 pounds, according to the release.
The money was donated to the food bank’s “Food 4 Kids” backpack program, which provides children with meals during weekends and holiday breaks from school. Cargill has also agreed to match the donation from Emprise Bank and its employees, according to the release.
Headquartered in Wichita, Emprise Bank serves more than 20 communities in Kansas, and reports total assets of about $1.5 billion.
