UMB hires health care banking veteran

UMB Bank announced recently that it has hired Richard Ziegner as its executive vice president and director of health care banking, according to a news release.

Ziegner, who has more than 20 years of experience in health care banking and consulting, is now responsible for leading the bank’s efforts in the health care sector and providing capital and financial solutions to health care providers, according to the release.

Prior to his new role at UMB, Ziegner was a senior vice president in the health care financial services and commercial banking segments with Wells Fargo. Ziegner will be based in Denver.

UMB Bank, which has two branches in Wichita, is a subsidiary of UMB Financial Corp.
