Intrust Bank to close eight locations in Dillons grocery stores

INTRUST Bank plans to close its eight locations in Dillons grocery stores — seven in Wichita and one in Newton.

The closures take effect Nov. 14 and are subject to “required regulatory approvals” before they can close, Intrust said in a release Thursday. The partnership with Dillons started in the 1990s.

“As customers embrace banking technologies and new ways to bank, it is important that we direct our resources to enhance those products and services that will best meet the needs of our customers now and in the future,” Intrust CEO Charlie Chandler said in the release.

Dillons did not immediately respond to a request on how those spaces will be reused.

Besides the Dillons locations, Intrust has 38 banks in Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas, according to the release. Intrust employees at the Dillons locations will be moved to those locations.

Here is a list of locations that are expected to close:

  • 10515 W. Central
  • 3932 W. 13th St.
  • 10222 W. 21st St.
  • 7707 E. Central
  • 3707 N. Woodlawn
  • 5500 E. Harry
  • 4747 S. Broadway
  • 1216 N. Main (Newton)
