The former Wichita market president of Union State Bank has joined Fidelity Bank’s commercial banking division as a senior vice president.

Brent Beckman has been named a business lending manager at Fidelity. In his new job, Beckman will help manage the bank’s loan portfolio and guide efforts to expand its commercial banking business in Wichita and Kansas City, Fidelity said in a news release Friday.

“Brent brings a tremendous amount of experience to the table,” said Tim Nelson, Fidelity’s chief lending officer, in the release. “As a seasoned lender and past business owner, Brent will create the type of lending relationships that put our customers in the best position to grow their businesses.”

Beckman started in banking in 1981. He joined Union State in 2011 to open a Wichita commercial loan office for the Arkansas City-based bank.
