Business aviation activity slips in July
Business aviation flight activity in the U.S. dipped 2 percent in July, according to a TraqPak report from aviation data firm Argus International.
Argus said the decline was led by private business aviation operations, which fell 5 percent compared with the same month last year. Fractional operations saw a 2.7 percent increase and on-demand charter inched higher in the year-over-year period by 0.5 percent.
Despite the “unexpected” July drop, Argus analysts estimate there will be a 4.5 percent increase in overall flight activity in August.
Argus’ analysis is based on all instrument flight rules flights in the U.S., Canada and Caribbean.
