Wichita’s Cessna awarded $14 million Air Force contract

The Air Force has awarded Textron Aviation Cessna a $14 million contract to supply the Pakistan army six aircraft, plus support and training.

According to the Department of Defense, Cessna is to provide two 208B Grand Caravan EX turboprop airplanes and four T-206H Stationair single-engine aircraft as well as support, spare parts and training. The contract also calls for the two Grand Caravans to be modified for aeromedical uses.

Work on the contract is to be done in Wichita, with a completion date of Dec. 30, according to the Defense Department.
