FlightSafety CEO to keynote April Aero Club luncheon

The chief executive of FlightSafety International will be the keynote speaker at Wichita Aero Club’s April luncheon.

Bruce Whitman has been at FlightSafety since 1961, and its CEO since 2003. Whitman’s first visit to Wichita was in the early 1960s to visit Bill Lear, the founder of Learjet. Prior to joining FlightSafety, he was senior executive assistant at the National Business Aviation Association.

FlightSafety is a global company providing flight simulation and other training to fixed-wing and rotorcraft pilots, mechanics, flight attendants, schedulers and other industry personnel. It operates flight simulators in learning centers in nine countries. In Wichita it operates five locations.

The luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 13 at the Hotel at Old Town, 830 E. First St.

Cost is $30 for Aero Club members and $40 for guests. Reservations can be made by calling 316-665-2699 or visiting www.wichitaaeroclub.org.
