Southwest Airlines network planning officials will be the Wichita Aero Club’s keynote speakers at its February luncheon.

The topic of the luncheon, held in conjunction with the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce, will be Southwest’s new nonstop routes and competitive air fares.

Last October, Southwest announced it was ending nonstop flights from Wichita to Dallas and Chicago as of April 11, replacing them with daily nonstop service to St. Louis and Phoenix.

Aero Club officials said corporate sales officials from Southwest also will be attending the luncheon to explain the airline’s business travel program.

The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 25 at Botanica, 701 Amidon.

It costs $30 for Chamber and Aero Club members and $40 for nonmembers and the public.
