KDOT names interim aviation director
The Kansas Department of Transportation on Friday named Dennis O’Connor interim aviation director.
O’Connor replaces Tiffany Brown, whose last day is Friday. Brown has accepted a position with the Federal Aviation Administration in Denver.
KDOT said O’Connor has been with the department since July 2014 as manager of federal and state affairs. O’Connor has been a licensed pilot since 1986, and since 1988 has served in a variety of positions at airports and aviation agencies in California, Tennessee, New Jersey and New York. He also is an instrument-rated commercial pilot and flight instructor. O’Connor has a communications degree from State University of New York at Geneseo.
KDOT said a search for a permanent aviation director is underway.
