Spirit names former Northrop executive senior vice president for business development

Spirit AeroSystems said Monday it has hired a business development officer.

Krisstie Kondrotis was named by Wichita-based Spirit as a senior vice president. She will be responsible for global marketing and expanding the company’s business relationships in the commercial and defense sectors.

Kondrotis was previously at Northrop Grumman and General Dynamics, and from 1987 to 2007 held several business development positions at Lockheed Martin, where Spirit president and CEO Larry Lawson served before coming to Wichita.

“Krisstie is a proven leader in the aerospace industry with strong experience developing new business and building best in class organizations,” Lawson said in a news release.
