Bombardier’s Wichita center earns Rolls-Royce authorization
Bombardier Business Aircraft said Friday its Wichita Service Centre has become a Rolls-Royce authorized service center.
The designation allows workers at the center, next to its Learjet factory at Wichita Eisenhower National Airport, to service Rolls-Royce engines on Bombardier’s large cabin, long-range jets.
That includes Global Express, Global Express XRS, Global 5000 and Global 6000 aircraft.
“We have a long and successful relationship with Bombardier Business Aircraft and are pleased to welcome the Wichita Service Centre to our Authorized Service Centre Network,” Rolls-Royce senior vice president of services and customer support Andrew Robinson said in a news release.
The Wichita center previously serviced only Learjet aircraft. Bombardier expanded its services this year to include service on larger Challenger and Global jets.
