Eisenhower Airport sees 4 percent gain in Sept. passengers

The number of people flying to and from Wichita Eisenhower National Airport rose nearly 4 percent in September.

According to the Wichita Airport Authority’s Aviation Activity Report released Wednesday, 128,367 passengers passed through the airport last month compared with 123,790 in September 2014.

For the year, Eisenhower passenger traffic is up nearly 3 percent: 1.16 million passengers in the first nine months of 2015 compared with 1.13 million passengers in the same period last year.

The number of daily departures at Eisenhower was flat, at 35, the report said.
