Eisenhower Airport passenger counts jump 6 percent in June
Passenger counts jumped 6 percent in June at Wichita Eisenhower National Airport, and were slightly higher for the year.
That’s according to the Wichita Airport Authority’s Aviation Activity Report, which said 154,364 passengers flew to and from the airport, compared with 145,388 in June 2014.
June also marked the opening of Eisenhower’s $225 million terminal.
For the first half of 2015, 746,825 passengers flew to and from the airport, a 1.19 percent increase from 738,011 passengers in the same period in 2014, the report said.
The number of daily departures from the airport was 37 in June. That’s down slightly from 38 in June 2014, the report said.
