Textron Aviation’s Cessna Aircraft Co. said Friday it has taken an order for six Skyhawk 172 single-engine piston aircraft from a Chinese aviation operator.

The Wichita-based company said in a news release from the AirVenture 2015 show in Oshkosh, Wis., that the order is its second from Shandong Hairuo General Aviation Co. Ltd. in China. The first order, made in April, was for two Skyhawks.

Shandong Hairuo is a general aviation operator, and an authorized sales representative and customer service facility for Cessna single-engine aircraft in China. It currently has a fleet of four Skyhawks, and plans to use those aircraft as well as the ones coming from Friday’s order for personal, commercial and airline pilot training.

Cessna did not disclose the value of Friday’s order.

The Skyhawk aircraft are manufactured at Cessna’s Independence plant.
