Textron Aviation said it has received Federal Aviation Administration type certification for its production King Air 250, equipped with new avionics and cabin technology.

The Wichita-based company made the announcement Monday, the second day of the Experimental Aircraft Association’s AirVenture show in Oshkosh, Wis.

The upgraded Beechcraft King Air 250 comes with Rockwell Collins’ new Pro Line Fusion avionics in the cockpit and new cabin technology that includes international or domestic wireless Internet and electronically dimmable windows.

The certification will allow deliveries of the upgraded twin-turboprop to begin this quarter, Textron Aviation said.

The upgraded King Air is one of seven aircraft Textron Aviation has on display at AirVenture, which runs through Sunday. The company’s other aircraft are a Cessna TTX, Skylane 182T, Turbo Stationair, Grand Caravan EX and Citation M2 and CJ3-Plus.
