Michael Huerta, the administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, will be the keynote speaker at a Wichita Aero Club luncheon on Tuesday.

Huerta is expected to speak on a range of topics within the aviation industry, Aero Club officials said, and his visit will likely draw one of the group’s biggest audiences of the year.

“We know from his previous visit that he will offer both an informative and very candid perspective on the issues which are of great interest to our industry,” Aero Club president Dave Franson said in a statement.

Some of the topics Huerta could address include progress on the NexGen air traffic control system, the integration and regulation of drones in U.S. airspace and the agency’s reauthorization.

The luncheon begins at 11:45 a.m., and Huerta will begin his speech at 12:30 p.m. It will be at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Wichita Airport.

Tickets, which cost $30 for members and $40 for nonmembers, are available online at http://www.wichitaaeroclub.org or by calling 316-681-4471.

Aero Club officials said it will be the second time Huerta has spoken to the group since his appointment to the agency in January 2013.
