Less than a month after Airbus agreed to rescue Bombardier’s struggling C Series jet program, Bombardier has announced a second order for the narrowbody passenger plane.

At the Dubai Airshow on Tuesday, EgyptAir signed a letter of intent for 12 firm and 12 optional C Series CS300 aircraft.

The total order would be valued at nearly $2.2 billion, Bombardier said, at current list prices.

It’s the second C Series order Bombardier has announced in nearly as many weeks. On Nov. 2 Bombardier announced a letter of intent for an order of up to 61 C Series aircraft from an unidentified European customer.

The two deals come after a drought in orders for the composite jetliner that is undergoing flight testing at Bombardier’s Wichita site.

It also follows a mid-October announcement that Airbus would take a 51 percent stake in the C Series program and establish a second production line for the airplane at its Mobile, Ala.-assembly plant.
