Ryanair to buy three more 737-800s from Boeing

Irish low-fare carrier Ryanair has ordered three more Next Generation Boeing 737-800s, Boeing said in a news release Wednesday.

The order is valued at $280 million at list prices.

The order brings Ryanair’s total unfilled orders for 737-800s to 174, Boeing said in the release. Ryanair also has an order for 100 737 MAX 200s, the airplane maker said.

Dublin-based Ryanair is Boeing’s largest customer for the 737-800, with more than 300 of them currently in its fleet. It also is the launch customer for the MAX 200.

Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita makes the fuselage and other parts of the 737.
