Passenger counts at Wichita Eisenhower National Airport rose 5 percent in September, according to a report released this week.

The Wichita Airport Authority’s Aviation Activity Report said 135,190 people flew to and from Eisenhower compared with 128,367 in September 2015.

For the year, passenger counts were 2.59 percent higher than the same period last year: 1.19 million compared with 1.16 million.

Higher passenger traffic came despite four fewer daily flights in September, compared with the same month last year.
