Aircraft supplier to lay off 39 Wichita workers

Aircraft supplier Impresa Aerospace is laying off 39 workers at its southwest Wichita plant.

That’s according to information posted this week to the state’s KansasWorks website. Workers were notified of the layoffs on Friday, according to the website.

Company officials couldn’t immediately be reached for comment Tuesday afternoon. Impresa is based in Gardena, Calif. and in addition to Wichita has a plant in South Carolina, which it opened last year.

It operates from a 40,000-square-foot plant at 2232 S. Custer. The plant previously operated under the name Swift-Cor.
