Quantas intends to make Dreamliner purchase
Australian carrier Quantas intends to purchase eight 787-9 Dreamliners from Boeing, the Chicago-based airplane maker said Thursday.
The deal would be worth about $2.1 billion, at average Boeing list prices.
“We are honored that Qantas has selected the 787 for its fleet renewal plan and to build upon on our long-standing relationship,” Dinesh Keskar, Boeing Commercial Airplanes senior vice president, said in a news release.
The forward section of the 787 is manufactured by Spirit AeroSystems, as well as parts of its wings and other components.
