The Kansas Aviation Museum will open its new Beechcraft exhibit to the public today from 5 to 7 p.m.
The exhibit – Beechcraft: A Legacy – will feature the Wichita-based company and brand from its Beech Staggerwing to the Model 18 military aircraft, through the King Air and Beech Starship, along with all Beech aircraft for which the brand became known.
Museum officials said the exhibit doesn’t presently include any Beech aircraft, although volunteers are working on multi-year restoration of a Staggerwing.
Admission to the exhibit on Thursday will be free.
Mary Lynn Oliver, the daughter of founders Walter and Olive Ann Beech, made the exhibit possible, the museum said.
The museum is located at 3350 S. George Washington Blvd.
