EAA Fly-in to include free airplane rides for children
More than 100 vintage to modern airplanes and jets are expected to be on display at the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 88’s 53rd Annual Fly-in at Newton City/County Airport on Saturday.
The day-long event that runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. will include candy drops for children and free airplane rides for children 8 to 17 under the EAA’s Young Eagles program.
A banquet from 6 to 7 p.m. will include a presentation by William Stearman, son of Stearman Aircraft founder Lloyd Stearman.
Admission to the Fly-in is a $5 donation for adults. Tickets for the banquet are $25 and $10 for children 17 and under.
