The Wichita Independent Business Association will donate $15,000 to Wichita Area Technical College Foundation to support students with scholarships in IT and Wichita Promise programs.

The scholarships are a part of WIBA’s effort to increase the skilled workforce in the area. Wichita Promise helps cover the tuition and fees of students enrolling in programs training for high-wage, high-demand fields, such as aerospace manufacturing technology; aerospace coating and paint technology; composite technology; machining technology; automotive technology; industrial automation; machine maintenance, and carpentry.

Students who complete their program are guaranteed an interview with a local company.
