App to change the cost of reading online content at 1 Million Cups
The founder of an app that would give users access to content behind publications’ paywall made a presentation at Wednesday’s 1 Million Cups ICT event.
1 Million Cups ICT is a weekly gathering designed to aid entrepreneurs by making contacts in the community and gaining awareness. It meets from 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesdays. Next week’s event will be at Wichita State University’s Old Town offices, 238 N. Mead.
ContentKid
Founder: Michael Aumack
Pitch: Aumack wants to create an app that gives users access to content behind publications’ paywall by paying for the time they use rather than a flat membership fee. He thinks this will add users who won’t pay for monthly or annual membership fees, adding to publications’ readership and revenue.
Status: It’s in the concept stage.
Need: He is searching for a team that will create the app in exchange for some ownership.

Next week: The next 1 Million Cups ICT will feature the Date Maven and Fairfield Polo Club.
